The pieces were high quality but the existing colour didn’t quite tie in with the rest of the space, so the goal was to bring everything together with a consistent finish.
The project was for an embassy office, which meant we needed to work within a tight timeframe between high-profile meetings to minimise disruption. Because the furniture was located in a high-rise building, we carefully broke the pieces down onsite so they could be safely removed and transported to the workshop.
Once back in the workshop, both the table and desk top were sanded back to the original timber grain, removing the old finish and preparing the surfaces for a new stain. To ensure a precise colour match, the client provided one of the drawers from their other furniture.
After achieving the correct stain colour — with a perfect match to the existing furniture — the pieces were professionally polished with a commercial-grade, heavy-duty finish, providing a durable surface designed to withstand everyday office use while maintaining a refined look.
Once the finishing process was complete, the furniture was transported back to the building in sections and carefully reassembled onsite, ready in time for the next round of meetings.
